I also use task scheduler, and also use the run as daemon option, and
just have the task run forever- no need to scheduled to run every 5
minutes. It makes it easy to stop/restart, especially when you have many
daemons running.

Read my last post on this thread. I put some details on how I ran it
under Windows a while back and this might be useful to you. I used Task
Scheduler in Window so run the batch file every 5 minutes.
