By default, MRTG will create two DSs, called ds0 and ds1, to hold the data. Then it will create 8 RRAs, corresponding to Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Yearly at AVERAGE and MAXIMUM. This is because these are the only RRAs required for the standard MRTG graphs, as created by routers2, mrtg-rrd or 14all. However, you can always use rrdtool to add extra RRAs to the .rrd files, and when MRTG updates the .rrd file then all RRAs will automatically be updated. So, by all means add some MIN RRAs for the various resolutions. However, to report on them, you will need to make some custom reporting. One interesting set of RRAs is the set for spotting unusual values that do not match historical patterns. Steve
