At my workplace we have some HP/Nortel GbE2c blade switches. I can run
mrtg cfgmaker against them and while cfgmaker can see the ports,
unfortunately the description data that has been configured into the
Blade switches for each port is unable to be captured by cfgmaker. So I
am wondering do I need to configure some MIBs somehow for these
switches.

Could you confirm if I am on the right track thanks. If so, do I need to
configure the MIBs in the target switches themselves, or in the mrtg
server (or both target and mrtg)?

Any help appreciated

Derek
