The first few times you run MRTG it will generate errors like this which can be ignored. It tells you that it cannot update the old log file, because one has not been created yet. After 10-15 minutes you should not be getting any more of these errors. If you do, the you need to investigate deeper because there is something wrong with your installation/ownership/permissions (e.g. initially you run mrtg as a root and now you are running it as a plain user). -- Regards, Mick
