it creates a .cfg file. make sure that the dir config exists (i had created it myself) in /etc/cron.d/ make a file named "mrtg" -------------- 0-59/5 * * * * root env LANG=C /usr/bin/mrtg /etc/mrtg/mrtg.cfg 0-59/5 * * * * root env LANG=C /usr/bin/mrtg /etc/mrtg/device1.cfg 0-59/5 * * * * root env LANG=C /usr/bin/mrtg /etc/mrtg/device2.cfg -------------- i think, this site can help you to install mrtg: http://www.linuxhomenetworking.com/wiki/index.php/Quick_HOWTO_:_Ch22_:_Monitoring_Server_Performance#MRTG best regards maik
