The first question, is - are your devices using SNMP v1, v2 or v3? If they are using v1 or v2 then omit the --username and --authpassword options. The next question is - have the devices been set up with ACLs that allow your MRTG server to query them? And do you have any other network gear (routers, firewalls) that might be stopping you from reaching them? Try to do an snmpwalk from the command line to test your access (not sure how youd do this from windows but there are likely windows utilities that can do an snmpwalk somewhere) Steve Steve Shipway ITS Unix Services Design Lead University of Auckland, New Zealand Floor 1, 58 Symonds Street, Auckland Phone: +64 (0)9 3737599 ext 86487 DDI: +64 (0)9 924 6487 Mobile: +64 (0)21 753 189 Email: [email protected] Please consider the environment before printing this e-mail
