I know that there is probally a better way to do it but. For data protection from a non access person. I guess you could not allow bypasskey and have a startup form asking for a password and close the database if not correct.
Todd -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of George Oro Sent: Saturday, May 21, 2005 2:15 AM To: YG Access Subject: [ms_access] Re-Login to Secured BE I have a Database Login form where user can select which database they want to used then the system will automatically refresh the table links. Linking and checking errors is under control, my problem is, if I set a database password to my databases (backends) to secure it, then the link function will not work. Obviously because the db is password protected, if I remove the password, then it will be OK but the problem now is, my backend is open. How can I protect my backend using the above features? At the moment is just not allow bypasskey... I understand that db password can easily bypass also (advanced users) BTW, I don't use Workgroup for this specific apps.
