Angela- The Where Condition in the ApplyFilter action can be as simple or complex as you want. If you have a control on a form that contains the category filter, you can even do something like:
([Length] > 30) And ([Category] = [Forms]![FilterForm]![cmbCategory]) .. where "FilterForm" is the name of the form and "cmbCategory" is the name of the control containing the category filter value.
