Dear Rob,

Create a querry with required fields. In the design view in criteria
column of the field to which you want to link the combo box- write the
command
forms![name of the form]![name of the combo box]

You could also use "like" command if you are searching from the string
-the command will be :-
like * &forms![name of the form]![name of the combo box]&*

Design a form with combo box with required value. Create a command
button and link the button to the qurry as created above. or to a form
if the above querry is linked to a form.

When you click the command button the querry will be run with search
value selected from the combo box.
