I have a field called Ops_Time that indicates what time either a
departure or arrival operates. How do I group and count them so that I
have
a tally of the number of operations per quarter hour (or by changing the
query or calc the number of ops by every 5 minutes, or in one hour
increments)?

I can easily group times in a query using
between #07:00:00# and #07:15:00#
but I'd have to have 96 separate queries to run a calculation for
a
24 hour time period for all flights. I know there has to be a simpler
way
to group the 15 minute time slots and calculate the number of flights in
each time slot.
Any ideas??? Do it in a form with unbound text box and formulas
with no calcs or groupings in the query?

Airline Schedules Dbase:
I am working on putting together an airline schedule dbase for our
airport.
One of the requirements is that I differentiate between a weekday
schedule,
a Saturday schedule, and a Sunday schedule.
How can I take a date that is input in the record as ....
Ops_Date
11/02/05
and convert it to a character as follows
SA for Saturday
SU for Sunday
W for weekday
in a separate field associated with the record. Then I will be
able
to sort
records according to whether they are Saturday, Sunday, or
Weekdays.
Also,
if I do not have an Ops_Date recorded can I would like to manually
input S,
SU, or SA in that same record.
Of course, if you know of such a dbase already, please let me know
that as
well.
