Jeannie- First, the easy question. After Microsoft releases a product, they will often later release update packages to fix problems discovered in the initial version. Open Microsoft Access and cancel the opening dialog. Choose About Microsoft Access from the Help menu. If you have the latest updates for Access 2000, you should see "Microsoft Access 2000 (9.0.6926 SP-3)" - Service Pack 3 (SP-3) is the latest update for this product. If you don't have SP-3, go to:
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/officeupdate/default.aspx .. and click the Check for Updates link near the top center of the page. In your original post, you imply that you're trying to display a jpeg file. The Access OLE Object data type will correctly display a bitmap file in the Bound Object Frame control, but I think you have to install a converter to display jpeg or jpg files correctly. You might need to rerun the installation of Access 2000 and be sure you select all options - including all the converters. In Control Panel, open Add / Remove programs and find Microsoft Office 2000. Select it and click the Change button. In the Setup dialog, click the Add or Remove Features button. Setup will show you a tree structure for the features installed - click the Converters and Filters group and choose Run All From My Computer. Click Update Now to add the converters - but you'll probably need your original install disk or files. If that doesn't work, convert all your jpg files to bitmap using some third-party program such as Photo Shop or Paint Shop Pro, then load the bitmaps into your OLE Object field. I've been using the help and microsoft online to get through this. What I need is to print out a profile of a person in a report form. I need the person's photo on the report with their personal data. I insert the photo in the table and pull the information into the report. Its Access 2000. Service packs???
