Mike- Using the Requery method on the combo box itself should work. You should do it in AfterUpdate of the first combo:

The first combo box is based on a query that selects machine id's from my machine table. The second combo box is based on a query that pulls submachines from my machine table using the entry in combo box 1 as the criteria. Both combo boxes are unbound since I am only using these to make selections for criteria for running a report. I have other forms that contain combo boxes that work in the same way except for the fact that they are bound. I can't get the unbound comboboxes to refresh using the repaintobject, refresh or requery options on the Got_Focus event. This is no problem with my bound combo boxes. What am I missing? ================================== Mike Bisson Manager of IT & Logistics Carthuplas, Inc. V: 207-985-4972 x658 F: 207-985-2105 [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.carthuplas.com Yahoo!
