Dear Dawn,
         Thanks Dawn. But I could not succeed. I am a beginner in 
Access and hence request the exact syntex. Where should I use the 
Switch funtion- in the query or in the combobox row source property?. 
The Row source property for the unbound combobox is shown in my 
earlier mail. If you can modify the row source property in your 
reply, it would be very nice.
