Kumar - Based on the number of pipes you need to sort on, the switch property will be way too cumbersome. Follow John's advice and add a number field to your Pipes table, then use the SortOrder in your row source of your combo box.
PipeDimension SortOrder 1/2 1 1 2 1-1/4 3 1-1/2 4 2 5 10 6 14 7 16 8 and so on. Dawn Crosier Application Specialist "Education Lasts a Lifetime" This message was posted to a newsgroup. But I could not succeed. I am a beginner in Access and hence request the exact syntex. Where should I use the Switch funtion- in the query or in the combobox row source property?. The Row source property for the unbound combobox is shown in my earlier mail. If you can modify the row source property in your reply, it would be very nice. Thanks in advance. Kumar Iyer Yahoo!
