OK, I am not sure what the fields are that you are using, but I will
attempt to modify the code to suit your needs:

> If Me.cboArtistName.Value <> "" Then
>     strWhere = "[Artist]=" & "'" & Me![cboArtistName] & "'"
>     DoCmd.OpenReport "MyArtistReport", acViewPreview, strWhere
 
Me.cboArtistName - is the name of the combo box that you are using to
select which artist to generate the report about.
[Artist] - is the name of the field in your report.
MyArtistReport - is the name of the report that you want opened and
filtered.

This code goes under the button that you will click to create your
report.  For instance, I have a button on my form that I click after I
select the proper Ingredient that I want recipe's for.
