Peter-

I don't know of any easy way to do it.  File / Get External Data / Import
does import the structure and data as you have learned, but I suspect it
doesn't do the indexes because there are index types on SQL Server
(Clustered for example) that Access doesn't understand.  You would think it
would at least do the Primary Key!  I also tried exporting from SQL Server
to Access using DTS (Data Transformation Services), but that not only didn't
do indexes, it also didn't transform Identity fields into AutoNumber.

Subject: [ms_access] Indexes on import

John,

How can you import a database from SQL Server or Oracle into Access WITH
the primary keys and indexes? I can import all the data but I've not
been able to get the keys and indexes.

Thanks for your help,

Kind regards

Peter
