I don't know where you live, but I'd like to suggest you shop around for a
really good course and if you can afford it do a course that gives you
Microsoft Accreditation (if that is the correct term) at the end of it. In
Australia that costs several thousand dollars but if you want to become
really proficient and are considering making a carreer out of Access, this
would be a great investment. There is plenty of business out there for it.
Also there are quite a few people like me who struggle with Access on home
computers and have no one to turn to for help. I have found this list
invaluable and words just cannot do justice to John for the help he has
given me.
I did an Access course with a reputable college a few years back and paid a
small fortune: I did the Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. I went with
specific questions and found the lecturer did not know the answers because
they were outside the "scope" of the course and he made no effort to find
out anything for me. We also did a sample system which he claimed was
installed in video rental stores around Australia. I am not an accountant
but I have studied some accountancy and written quite a few accounting
systems in my time. I pointed out to him certain accounting flaws in design
of this system and that no actual business would do this in reality. Well, I
then became enemy number one and received no help at all after that.
I don't know your background, but I just want to point out is that there is
a good chance that you may know more than the lecturer, so shop around and
find yourself a really good course.

Subject: [ms_access] Access Courses
I am somewhat familiar with Access (by learning on my own). I would
like to take Access courses to become very proficient in the use and
creating databases, reports, queries, programming, etc...
Can anyone suggest courses or the vendors that I could contact?
Thanks,
Celeste
