Does anyone know what causes this to happen? We have a database that
has been running fine for several years and suddenly this month it
bombed. An append query that pulls information from a SQL passthrough
query and appends it to an access table hung up each time it was run.
This has never happened before.
I did a work around to get the information loaded into the database
after the IT guys restored a previous copy from backup and them did a
compact and repair on the database. When the accountants started using
the database, this error message sunndenly appeared. I compacted and
reapired again and all was well for the rest of the day (Yesterday).
This morning as soon as they began working, the error happened again.
It seems unreasonable that we should have to do the C&R on a daily
basis just to be able to use it after about 5 years of no trouble like
this.
