I have a dbase for entering airport information. I would like to create a way to auto fill forms based on the condition of the airfield. This will be used during snow storms and quick updates are critical. For most entries we can simply accomplish them manually. Weather changes and updates will come so fast in a snow storm that I'd like to automate as much of the entries as possible. I'd like to have several buttons that will enter predetermined text for pre-defined weather conditions, dates, times, names, etc. and operational issues.
One button push populates four date fields with the current date (although I should be able to type over the End date if needed since some entries will go beyond midnight), four time fields with the current time, two with an end time, and two that are entered by the user, 1 menu field and one text field. I may need a few more added field entries (such as Issued by Location) but thought I'd stop here so I can let you respond as to whether auto population of fields is possible, I imagine it is. I am just not sure about the best way to proceed with this. The table is already in place with forms that we fill in....this takes time though and can be simplified by using some type of automation if possible. NOTAM text - menu field Reason for NOTAM - Text field Effective Date End Date Effective Start Time End Time Date Issued by FSS - Date Field Date Issued by ATC - Date field Time issued by FSS - Time field Time issued by ATC - Time field Issue Location - Text Field Thanks as always to this group.
