To find out a field's Data Type:
1.      Right click on the Table name 
2.      Click on Design view
3.      Now the table structure is open in front of you. i.e. Field 
Name, Data Type, Description, in addition to General and Lookup tabs.
4.      If you bring the cursor to Data Type and click it then a 
drop-down list is displayed.
