Sorry, maybe I did not break down the process enough. open your form that you
want to add the drop down box. Now with the form open you should right click
the form, you should be able to choose Design view. Now in design view you
should see the the grid pattern. Now choose the combo box icon on the toolbar.
Now draw with your mouse a box on your form in design view. if your wizards are
turned on you should get a dialog box asking you questions on source and what
you want to do with the data. complete the wizard and your drop down will be on
your form.

the following links will take you to great videos. they are awesome for
newbies. also try youtube. there are great videos from by 599cd. type in

Jim,

The form is already created. I need to know how to create the look-up on a
field that has already been created. I followed your instructions, but it
creates a NEW form.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Dian

Welcome to MS Access. It is a great application.
Go to design view of your form and then make sure the Wizard is set to on. the
wizard depending on which version you have is on the toolbar. then select the
icon for either a list box or a combo box. the wizard will walk you through the
steps of setting it up. depending on the type of action that you want to
achieve will depend on the answers you give the wizard.

Ok, please bear with me, I am new to MS Access and am building a
database for vendors. I have a question:

I have a form already created and my boss wants a pull-down for one of
the sections. How can you create a pull-down (look-up list) once the
form is completed? I can't figure it out......

ANY HELP WOULD BE MOST APPRECIATED.

Thanks,
Dian
