David Bolton-2, yeah, the idea of instant feedback for MIDI import, as well
as some tuning prompts to user, can be a good GUI addition to the import
"backend" functionality. Different programs for MIDI import usually have
several tunable settings; for example, the result of recognition may vary
from "easy to read" to "precisely imported". MIDI import process is not a
strict math. And a set of MIDI import funcs is like a core for further
extensions.
