I struggled most of the day yesterday getting my own Windows build system back up and running, but with lasconic's help, everything seems to be in order. In hindsight, I should have deleted virtually everything and set it all up from scratch rather than trying to figure out what could be left in place and what needed to be patched up or having to deal with leftover configuration files from previous builds.
One thing this brought up though - are a lot of people using QtCreator? There is a fair amount of setup that needs to happen to kick off builds that way, and recreating that after deleting what I needed to delete turned out to be one of the things that took a lot of trial and error. Plus, I don't think I really ever had QtCreator set up optimally in the first place. I got the automatic intent style "close" but continually have to fiddlie with closing braces, kicking off a debug session with deploy always tried to build mscore, exe twice (once by itself, once as part of make install), etc. Could we maybe expand the QtCreator section of the compile instructions with whatever best practices people have discovered? -- Marc Sabatella [email protected] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ See everything from the browser to the database with AppDynamics Get end-to-end visibility with application monitoring from AppDynamics Isolate bottlenecks and diagnose root cause in seconds.
