Hi MuseScore developers!

My name is Nafis Zaman. I'm an undergrad at the University of Oklahoma pursuing
a B.S. in Computer Science. I'm interested in working on MuseScore as part of
GSoC 2014. Specifically, I'm interested in making MuseScore more accessible for
visually impaired musicians.

I have a lot of experience with both C++ and Qt. I also have some music
experience (5 years on the violin). However, I have never used music notation
software. Would this hinder my ability to work on the project? I am confident
that I'll be comfortable with it after a bit more use.

Also, is it possible to get feedback on a proposal draft? I know that Marc
Sabatella is listed as the possible mentor for this project. Perhaps I should
reach out to him individually?

Thanks,
Nafis Zaman
