Thanks to all who replied and commented on this post. I guess I came from an environment where the development platform for all developers was Windows and Micrcosoft Visual Studio and Visual C++. All code from development sites world wide was built from a single source repository on a nightly basis. We had a Build and release group that would port the nightly builds to all supported computing platforms once nightly regression tests were run on the primary development platform. Visual Studio was configured to build from DLL's shared libraries on development servers with only locally modified code and libraries being built on the developer's machines.
All of your inputs have been highly helpful and I guess it falls on me to learn and get familiar with QT and GIT. Again thanks for all your replies. -- View this message in context: http://dev-list.musescore.org/Help-Setting-Up-Best-Bug-Fix-Development-Environment-tp7578728p7578734.html Sent from the MuseScore Developer mailing list archive at Nabble.com. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Accelerate Dev Cycles with Automated Cross-Browser Testing - For FREE Instantly run your Selenium tests across 300+ browser/OS combos.
