Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding, @lasonic! ;)
My understanding is that one uses a build for a certain time - the AUR
git package will not update automatically unless I update pkgver
manually and I will only do that after I have verified that the current
version works (maybe it will be better then to use specific commits in
the PKGBUILD?)
Anyway, I thought that, after a while when someone would like to see if
a newer version suits him better, he could save the latest package
(that's just one single file and under normal circumstances it stays in
pacman cache anyway and you can downgrade easily) until verified that
the newer one is indeed helpful.
I was not aware though that the mscz files are not compatible, really?
But that would mean that everytime you upgrade to a new release your
older scores might not work, either?

It's not manageable to save a copy of a version for each file and
futhermore, if you send a mscz file created with MuseScore-git to
someone else, she will not be able to open it... That's the main
reason why the nightlies for windows and MacOSX contains a big
warning. I will take a look to include this warning in master.

I have replaced my stable 2.0.2 with the -git version yesterday
and everything works perfectly while some old and annoying issues
are fixed now. :)
There was some formatting stuff in individual parts that I had to
re-do an the preferences had to be set again, but apart from that
no issues at all.
What you can do is store a git-version package that works for you
in a safe place (just copy it over from /var/cache/pacman/pkg) and
in case an update does not work for you, you can simply go back to
that local package.

Thank you!
Is there any big warning that these versions of MuseScore are not
meant for daily usage and that files created with one version
might not be editable by the next one?

I am happy to inform you that I have now made available a package
*musescore-git *in the Arch User Repository.
The PKGBUILD uses branch 'master'.
Thank you for all your great work!
Cheers
