Hello Sieghard. Strange that it does not work for you.
But, did you add the -B (build all) parameter?
Without it fpc sometimes ignore some of the {$ifdef something}.
It is a very old bug and till now it was not yet fixed, so better to use -B,
mainly for the first compilation of the project.
