It is a tremendous task to make a Lazarus-like system basically working and to adapt and optimise it continuousely to the ever changing widgetsets. For MSEgui this is much easier to achieve. Additionally MSEgui is mostly a single person undertaking which has its advantages and I deliberately work with old and slow computers. ;-) Although I don't know if Raspberry Pi performance is sufficient for the full MSEgui development environment.
