Hi Martin, This is a feature request - adding optional trim trailing whitespace on saving of files (Project Options - Editor tab). MSEide often adds lines of code that aren't empty - in turn Git complains about such whitespace "noise".
My work-around is very time consuming too. - double check with 'git gui' for such whitespace noise. - if not to many, use MSEide to manually delete those whitespace locations. - if many exist, load up Editpad Pro text editor and use it's Trim Trailing Whitespace function. - then only commit.
