Okay. I had a look Xnest doesn't list the RENDER module. For Xdmx I explicitly disable xrender to improve graphics performance (or so I was told), as graphics is running over the network. I'll retest Xdmx with xrender enabled to see the difference in performance. BTW: For anybody that has old laptops laying around, Xdmx is a fantastic way to re-purpose those old laptops and let them act as an extended desktop for your main system. It supports up to 16 computers. http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/library/os-mltihed/index.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOzRCBGDVaE&app=desktop Regards, - Graeme - -- fpGUI Toolkit - a cross-platform GUI toolkit using Free Pascal http://fpgui.sourceforge.net/ My public PGP key: http://tinyurl.com/graeme-pgp ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Site24x7 APM Insight: Get Deep Visibility into Application Performance APM + Mobile APM + RUM: Monitor 3 App instances at just $35/Month Monitor end-to-end web transactions and take corrective actions now Troubleshoot faster and improve end-user experience.
