I would not go down that route - burdening the family even more in such hard times. I don't mind contacting Gitlab and explaining the situation and asking for access to the account. Then when somebody else steps up to take the lead role in MSEide+MSEgui, I'll hand over the Gitlab account. If all in agreement, I'll go ahead with this in a day or two.
