Hum, I re-checked original fpc shape.pp and it is not realy needed. Because in this code "result" is not used. "result" was used in mshape.pas for dynamic loading of libXext.so.6. ( imho, it is better because all Unix OS dont have libXext.so.6 installed by default and so a check can/is be done.) By the way, I dont understand why mode objfpc is not the default mode with fpc. But this was already discussed lot of time, so betterto accept it. Alex, you may also add as parameter for compiling your application: "-Mobjfpc ". Anyway, with last commit, it should be fixed.
