Can't tell - I needed some more data on this, esp. which version of
the programs you did use. I did revise them a couple times, when I
found a problem (there ARE still problems to be expected) or extended
or generalized a function. And I don't have different sets of source
(e.g. .po) files available.

The latest version of the "POtoMO" unit was changed to ignore duplicate
definitions, and it seemed to work correctly (as the main function of
the "PO2MO" program) for what I tested it with. (I think, I even tested
it with the ideU files), but it is very well possible that ther are
other problems left.

BTW, these .po files don't get approval by the "authoitative" utility
"msgfmt" on Linux: ALL of them contain duplicates, and some even other
errors, like quotes within quotes (which the pascal utiility simply
ignores, because it extracts the text differently).
(As an example:
$ msgfmt ideu_es.po
ideu_es.po:972: keyword "z" unknown
ideu_es.po:972:1: syntax error
ideu_es.po:998: duplicate message definition...
ideu_es.po:915: ...this is the location of the first definition
msgfmt: found 3 fatal errors
$ PO2MO ideu_es.po
Duplicate MsgID found: "Select target file"
)
Some of these errors might confuse the POtoMO function also.
(The old version without duplicate suppression WILL be confused and
produce garbled .mo files!)

BTW, the modified german language file for ideU that I provided seems
to be converted correctly, A quick test with a couple changes to the
german .po file & conversion with the "PO2MO" PROGRAM didn't show any
irregularities here.
Which versions of the files did you use? The latest I uploaded were
- POtoMO.zip            26.Feb 13:37
- msegui_dynpo-mod.zip  03.Mär 19:10
- ideU_mo.zip           28.Feb 12:25

The dates and times may differ somewhat depending on how the uploader
handles the information.
Unfortunately, "ideU_mo.zip" still contains a stale "lib" directory
that is no longer valid - I meant to have it deleted, but somehow it
is still there. Please ignore it.

As I am still working on these functions, I will investigate your
problems as far as I can, although I've still a "slight" problem with
your ideU, as this gives me an "Access violation" error" when opened in
mseide (version 5.6.5 from 17.Feb 2022). The ideU source is version
2.8.2 from 18.Feb 2022. So I'm not really certain that it even could
be compiled correctly. There IS some work left until all works right.

And, as an aside, I'm investigating a way to automatically extract
all the string items from caption, hint, value and text fields of
forms for automatic translation, without having to gather them
"manually" in huge constant arrays provided in a special unit -
they're there already, so one CAN use them! Providing a utility to
extract these fields to a translation template is easy then, I'm
just not at all familiar with the "designing" functions to provide
a means to do that during development, e.g. from the object inspector.
More work left... Times stay interesting.

Have a nice weekend, anyway!
