For _compiling_, you don't need the .mo files they're not even considered? They come into play only when the compiled excutable is started, when they will be evaluated to fill the language selection form or even to already perform a translation to a preset language. (I presume, "/ideU_mo/ files" should mean the .mo files containing the ideU tanslations, i.e. the files named like "ideu_fr.mo"?) When I tested the last time - indeed, more than a week ago - they did still work for me... And they still do, as I just checked - both with fpc 3.2.2 and 3.3.1.
