I did some "experiments" using different methods for web-site-indexing, and seemed to have been successful. At least I myself could get access to the directory, and downloading a file "blindly" did work for me. Did you try that, too, and got the error, or was it just on trying to access the directory as a web page? But I see, I WILL have to pursue this somewhat deeper, although the provider doesn't seem to be interested to help, sadly.
