Subject: Re: [msmom] Question about Web Application Monitoring

Wy would anyone want to changera the adress like that? :-)

Does the IP change?
Not sure if you could use IP when setting up the monitoring in scom but maybe
adding an adress in scom and then use the hosts-file to specify the IP?

Hey guys - Question for you. We are using SCOM to monitor the availability of a
vendor website, using the Web Application Availability Monitor. It appears like
this vendor is now using a dynamic link, for example,
www.vendorwebsite.(unknown<http://www.vendorwebsite.(unknown> and dynamic
text).aspx

As the full URL is not known, it doesn't look like SCOM can be used to monitor
something like this, but I wanted to verify before I went back to my management
on this.

Has anyone encountered this before?
