Thank you for the input,
Do you know your OS support team planning to handle an update of all agents?

I would really prefer having the ability to manage the agents through the
console though.
Installing the agent through discovery probably triggers a powershell-script,
anyone know what that script might look like?

Happy Holidays

Ämne: RE: [msmom] Install SCOM-Agent using Orchestrator

we've been fortunate (or sneaky) enough to have the agent included in the
server stack preconfigured to point to our non-production scom environment and
have by in from OS support that the monitoring team should not be installing
code on machines

with the exception of updates to agents which the os team now own support of
(the sneaky part) we can do anything we need via powershell and some custom
tasks we have created that can move machines from one management group to
another(that we have workflows in scorch to handle)

I'm assuming you want to update the agents from the console? this is the only
thing so far I have found we cannot do, moving agents around to different
servers is straight powershell

Hi

I'm looking at installing SCOM-agents using Orchestrator in an automated Server
installation process.
Using the Install-SCOMAgent is ofcourse a way of doing it. But, from what I
understand, the agents will not be remotely managebeable?

Anyone know of a supported way of installing agents with script/Orchestrator
and getting them remotely manageable?
I see a lot of scripts that change the parameter to yes but is this approach
supported?

Happy holidays!
/Fredrik
