I also use that same script in a branch office maintenance mode solution with SCOM + SCOrch

Thats how we do it. Since the scheduling is done in the task scheduler, all you need is a group to target and the duration of the MM.

I tried some of scripts but no use. If the group members are more than 20 then the agents are not placing in maintenance mode. Can you please provide couple of scripts that worked for you perfectly. Thanks in advance.

you need to get the patching schedule for your servers and put them into groups, this has always been our problem, getting the groups, then do it via a group maintenance mode script, many available out there

Hi
One way to go could be to trigger MM with powershell executed by the windows task scheduler.

Every week we have a server reboot schedule maintenance mode for almost 400 servers. I think this is a big count of servers to reboot in signle window and i tried couple of tools available out side for maintenance actvitiy but no luck. none of the tools was not worked perfectly....I think it is also problem with microsoft that is why they have not included this feaure in the tool where we can not specify the start date for schedule activity.
Please suggest me if is there a tool/script/SQL query to place the bulk agents into maintenance mode for scom 2007 R2.
Basically I am looking for Scheduled maintenance activity that could specify my start date and time and maintenance end date and time...?. Thanks in advance.
