Hi All

I am planning a SCOM hardware replacement and have been putting together my
battle plan thanks to some great articles from Kevin and Marnix.

The tricky bit seems to be the SCOM Reporting Server move, and it's around that
move that I have a few questions.

(I'm running SCOM 2007 R2 CU7)
(My current SCOM Reporting role is on the same server as the DW database)

Current platform:
Windows Server 2008 SP2 - SQL 2005 SP2 with SQL Reporting Services

Target platform:
Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 - SQL 2008 R2 SP2 with SQL Reporting Services

I have read "How to Move the Operations Manager Reporting Server in Operations
Manager 2007"...
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc540369.aspx
There is a footnote on that article that warns about upgrading from SQL 2005 to
SQL 2008.

After following a few links, I arrived at this:

http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd789004.aspx

It's the first I'd seen of this procedure, and so wondered if it was still
applicable, and whether it's applicable just to an in-place upgrade of SQL?

Any help greatly appreciated....I'm very nervous of this whole database move!

Thanks

Trevor
