Virtual Machine = true/false already has a discovery. However, it only works for Hyper-V, not for VMware.
You can add you own discovery to set this value for VMware, and replace/disable our discovery, or add it in addition to the built in one. http://www.systemcentercentral.com/pack-catalog/virtual-machine-discovery-mp-for-operations-manager-2007/ Then it will be easy to make groups of windows computers using this. I need to export the list of all our physical server with a couple of other details. Anyone has an idea, how can I fine tune the search string in my new group dynamic inclusion? Alternatively, I have seen a property 'Virtual Machine' (Boolean) under the windows server state view (MP), but can't find that property in the PowerShell cmdlets. Any idea? Thanks, Dominique. ________________________________ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Tshwane University of Technology ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This email is sent and received in terms of the Electronic Communications Policy of Tshwane University of Technology.
