Kevin,

I have checked the event viewer my problem is I do not think the discovery
actually runs! Even if the discovery is manual or scheduled?

I can see the Cisco HSRP discovery failure for the OID/IP and the rule get
unloaded but nothing else. Also nothing changes in the GUI the last run time
never changes for example.

Look at the OpsMgr event logs shortly after running the rule manually. It will
log verbose logs to tell you what's going on.

A single GW in a resource pool is not a valid pool configuration:

Subject: [msmom] Network Discovery Question

Hi,

I have created a Network Discovery Rule with 5 Cisco devices within using a
"runas" SNMP string and a Gateway server with a Resource Pool.

However, with either manual or schedule (daily at 02:00) the rule never seems
to run the Last Run Time is always empty and Last discovered is 0.

Does anyone know has to find out what is happening behind the Scenes so I can
diagnose?
