That should work. (I haven't tested SQL in a workgroup) However, I wouldn't
do that.

I would convert to service SID monitoring across the board.

Subject: [msmom] RunAs Profiles and Accounts

All,

I have a requirement to monitor a SQL 2012 server on a DMZ so it is in a
WORKGROUP.

The DBA has created a local account for use to monitor SQL I have created the
RUNAS account using the machine name for the domain entry is this correct way
or can it only use domain account?
