If the MP is unsealed - simply delete the monitor.

If the MP is sealed, and you want to maintain upgrade compatibility, you cannot
delete monitors from sealed MP's.

If you want to delete the monitor - then you must first delete the previous
sealed MP from the management group, then import the new sealed MP as a new one.

If you want to maintain upgrade compatibility, best practice is to disable the
monitor, then update the displayname of the monitor with "DEPRECATED" in the
name, with a description of why the monitor was deprecated.

Subject: [msmom] Disable or Delete Old Monitors:

Hopefully a fairly easy topic for a Friday:

We had a vendor upgrade their software and one of the services no longer exists
in the product. I'm just curious if the default is to simply set the monitor to
Enabled = false, or if you go so far as to remove the monitor from a management
pack. I know there's issues with removing classes from sealed MPs. This is the
first time I've come across this scenario, looking to some of the more
experienced to chime in.

Thank you!
