Hi Folks I have a SCOM 2016 UR3 management group with three Server 2012 R2 management servers. This is a new management group to replace an existing SCOM 2012 SP1 management group which is running fine.
On the first management server I have a constant error that comes in every 5 min, but there's no alert in SCOM that relates to it. "The Root Connector has received bad packets which have been dropped. It received 51 such packet(s) in the last five minutes" [cid:[email protected]] I had some issues with data warehouse connections, event ID 31551 which is now fixed. I thought they may be related, but the error still persists every 5 minutes. This is the only article I can find on the issue, but the info they give didn't seem to help. https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/systemcenter/en-US/e7d11cf1-45d2-466b-bfa6-ab598d816eb5/error-20058-the-root-connector-has-received-bad-packets-which-have-been-dropped?forum=systemcenter If anyone has any info I'd be grateful.
