Nathan raised an interesting off list discussion, regarding the personal use of click-through tracking in emails I send.
So I thought, I would highlight some perplexing questions and test cases regarding the up coming Gov Hack ( thats open government data ) workshop weekend and how it relates to real life 'corporate' mentality.
Humorous / satirical ones ? …;)
'Can an ethical engineer maintain his or her personal ethics within a corporate environment and/or event ?'
When
'He / she clicks on a link on an email, that displays information about a government sponsored hacking event, when that event, is discussed @ a technological forum, without first checking the link validity, mean that they were social engineered ? or just under the influence of alcohol, pizza and bedazzled into clicking on the link, by a subconscious command, they viewed in a technology presentation by one of the major IT corporations ?'
If you would like to see the read notify, link clicking results, let me know and I'll send you a pdf extract, once they have been obfuscated & correlated.
Although, the dataset would be perfect to be linked to released government data, on Australian Human Rights Commission causes, for discrimination, against cancer survivors, by major IT vendors, Government departments, etc, etc, etc.
