Hi folks, In our meeting tonight it was discussed that it would be great to have a meeting that covers all the 'little things' that we have collectively learned about in the last 12 months of using Solaris 11.
Things like: - dlstat - the command for looking at interface statistics - using fewer commands in a pipeline (not overusing cat, avoiding extra fork/exec's) - actually using cfgadm to more than just a cfgadm -avl (heh) etc. You get the idea. Stuff that's actually useful in everyday admin life. So - What I'm looking for is two things: 1. Volunteers to present 2. *YOUR* top 5 things that you reckon you do / know / have learned in the last 12 months that there is good chance others won't know If you could reply to me direct, so we keep list traffic down, that would be great. Also - when replying, let me know what would get *you* to come along to meetings, as we are seeing fewer folks (although, not always the same ones!!) coming along, and I want to make sure we are pitching things that is of greatest interest to the masses. Finally - next year's first meeting will be in Feb, as I already know lots of people won't be around in Jan when the meeting would usually fall. (on the 15th!) So - ideas, volunteers and see you all in Feb! Cheers! Nathan. _______________________________________________ msosug mailing list [email protected] http://mexico.purplecow.org/m/listinfo/msosug
