Tim,

I'd suggest you might need to ensure the firmware is up to date on the
T1000 before trying Solaris 11.2 beta. I had no end of issue getting
Solaris 11 to install on a old SPARC box without the firmware update. I
can't recall the model from memory.

As far as the quickest way to get started I'd go the vagrant path

as per my talk a couple

of months back. I have updated my packer code
<https://github.com/AlanC-au/solaris-packer> to support building Solaris
11.2 beta base box , ( and OmniOS if thats your thing) .
