Many, if not all of these issues were addressed in Solaris 11.

It’s sad that various corporate behaviours (no money to upgrade, platform 
changes, cloud strategy, "if it works don’t touch it" etc) mean we end up 
bashing Solaris 10, the bringer of many things good. Don’t get me wrong, I 
completely understand why some companies still have Solaris 10 running, but 
c'mon, Solaris 11 (or perhaps, almost Solaris 11.4).

(I’m not singling out your employer either, BTW)
