Heya Chris,I didn't see this message until now. Dang. The short answer from me is I don't know. I would, however, expect that if you took a look at what patched this package, installed the package, then patched to current, you would at least have a good chance of it working. If you are really lucky, There will only be one patch to discretely patch it. The other question is... if this host is already patched up to an s10u11 state, you might actually be better off starting with the s10u11 pkg...Meh. After writing this, the only thing I'm sure of is that I don't know. :/Just make sure you have good backups before you start. ;)Nathan. -------- Original message --------From: Chris Wells <[email protected]> Date: 31/1/19 2:07 pm (GMT+10:00) To: [email protected] Subject: [msosug] Sol 10U10 SUNWnamos
I had a request for our lovely DBAs (aren’t they always), that they need the North American locale (en_US.UTF-8) to be installed in order to do their Oracle DB patching. The box which they are trying to patch (well, it’s actually a full-root zone), is based on Solaris 10 Update 10. I have Sol10U11 media, but not Sol10U10. What are the implications of taking the necessary package (SUNWnamos) from s10u11 media and installing it on s10u10 system?
