I would be happy to offer use of the Kelvin club bar since the place has decor from the heyday of Sun. It also has cheaper beer but only two on tap so I don't expect any interest. I will soon be decommissioning a bunch of old hardware. T5200 back to SS 2 but I may keep some of the antiques. I will have a spare 1000 or 1000E. What do I mean "will"... I've had a spare 1000E for more than a decade. I think the list price new was $69,000 or so. Still runs Sol 9. Designed by Cray Business systems. I wonder which is worth more, my stock certificate saying I owned 2.5% of that company or the server. I'm guessing the server as it has some gold in itand its 12v power supply could jump start a 67 Ford. In an unrelated note,I'm going to try to get a ASRock X470D4U motherboard in an old x2100 case since I have several of them. Its a Ryzen server board with LOM and ECC. A cheap Ryzen 5 3600 does SSL connections 210 times faster than some of the faster hardware I'm retiring. The x2100 can get rid of 115 watts on the CPU so I could put a 16 core 3950X in it. The problem is the metal isn't cut quite right.
